Since the Florida Legislature authorized funds to establish the University of West Florida in the year 1963, the University has been providing quality education to the surrounding community, the nation as a whole and has reached out to more than 90 different countries.
Enrollment has always been a priority with the university with high aspirations for increased enrollment. However, since the inception of the University of West Florida's Board of Trustees, the university has made bold initiatives to increase enrollment by expanding our enrollment base to include all of Alabama for a small out of state differential fee. This initiative has proven to be successful to bolster enrollment and provide a more diverse student body.
