Institutional Research organizes and analyzes institutional and other data to support planning, assessment and decision-making at The University of West Florida. While reporting to the Associate Vice President of Planning, the responsibilities of Institutional Research are college-wide. Institutional Research has the major responsibility for compiling and filing reports required by the Florida Board of Governors, Princeton Review, US News, Delaware Studies, and other state and federal agencies.

University of West Florida faculty encourage Archeology students to gain valuable experience by participating in university research, internships, co-op or volunteer work. This "dig" is in downtown Pensacola where students research the surrounding area for it's historical value.
